!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Le Frenchie is going to come race for the stupid American pigs. Here’s hoping for this leading to a 2017 Ferrari drive!

That’s a good pickup for Haas. He's a lot quicker a guy than I thought they would be able to get, plus he’s gotten better at protecting his equipment.

I think that Grosjean is one of the fastest drivers on the grid at the moment. I really want to see him in the hunt for wins.

That’s a definite win for them. I thought they’d be stuck with someone like Merhi. Now if only they’d pick up Rossi as their second...

Agreed. I'd have him probably in the top 5-7, and I think you're right about Ferrari...he puts in a good drive for Haas next year, then replaces Kimi in 2017. Grosjean in a Ferrari would be a legitimate threat to the rest of the field.

We’ll see Ferrari really want one of their reserves in the second seat, but I get the feeling that Rossi’s debut last weekend was related to this and is something of an audition since Ferrari will have all of the Manor data.

Well Lotus have nothing going for them now.

Haas seemed so opposed to an American driver, but how cool would it be to get an American driver on an American team?

While there are probably more words in the article that hint at the certinaty of it, these bolded words make me stop reading.
Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has signed to race for Formula 1 newcomer Haas next season, AUTOSPORT understands.
I’ll wait until Tuesday when they actually make the announcement.

I don’t think he was opposed to it, he was just realistic. He’s building a team from scratch and there aren’t any Americans with the experience for that. He said that he’d love to have an American because of marketing, but he’s not going to do it just to do it. I think Rossi’s being seriously evaluated right now, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way with how crazy demand has been for that seat..

Yeah, but it’s Autosport, not PlanetF1. If they’re going with it, it’s true.

Yeah, I’m seriously worried that they might drop off the grid next year.

Exactly. Now that Rossi has (and will have more) experience, I think he has a pretty decent chance.

Well unless Renault buy them and instate a fast and known driver in “Lettuces” place I see no hope for them. Hulk maybe.

Hulk confirmed at Force India. I’m guessing Vergne if the Renault deal goes through.

Well, yeah. It’s that what the Haas 2016 seat is all about?

I’m hearing Pascal Wehrlein in the other Manor seat alongside Rossi to form the Mercedes B team, and Vandoorne’s gotta go somewhere soon even if Magnussen takes Button’s seat.

Ooh, that would be interesting. I’ve read about the rumors a few weeks ago, but haven’t seen anything since. It would be nice if Manor get a competitive engine and start moving up the grid.

This is great, I love Grosjean. A lot of critics are saying Haas is the end of his career, joining a team that could very well be a back-marker. Regardless of performance, Haas has got to be a better working environment than the endangered Lotus team. Plus he’s got a kid and all now.

Yeah, there’s alot of doubt over whether or not the Lotus/Renault deal is actually still happening. Supposedly it is, and I know that these deals take forever, but with the team dealing with creditors the way they are and this mysterious Chinese investor who I’m sure doesn’t exist thrown into the mix, it’s not looking good.

Hopefully it’s not like McLaren’s new and forever mysterious title sponsor. I think Dennis just said they were “99.9%” finished on the deal.

I heard Mercedes and Williams are going to help them with their chassis and aero as well when they get the new engine. Have you seen the Eddie Jordan video from last week on all the rumors?

No, I haven’t. I avoid EJ like the plague. I’ll have to check that one out though, because when he’s calling things like that, he’s almost always right.
